I'm in no position to switch just yet, so I'm going to settle with my old phone as long as it lasts.

The whole phone experience has left me wanting to have a phone that's a bit more usable. What I want costs more money (email and web), and I'm willing to spend some as long as I can find a phone that does what I need in a user friendly manner. So far Verizon hasn't been up to par and I don't see that changing any time soon.

I see Google's Andriod SDK as being the perfect opportunity for creating something that I would like to use. I've been working slowly through the tutorials and documentation. The entire concept is awesome; I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Ahh!! So that's where all this interest for the Android SDK sparked from! Aside from, of course, the amazing opportunity that it brings to developers! ;) I agree that mobile phone interfaces are lacking (and more often than not, I find myself wanting to go back to my ancient Nokia 3120 that survived even being in the snow for a night!), but maybe you should try a smart phone/PDA first before making that pricey jump to the iPhone. (See Black Friday Sales!)

Keep me posted on what Verizon does for you. I'm reaching the end of my 2-year contract soon and am also looking for an upgrade, or maybe to even switch.
